Malcolm,
I'm afraid this would not have made the Wardenclyffe system a cavity
resonator. The cavity at 20KHZ or so that Tesla was planning on using would
have to be miles on a side! It was just a plain old quarter wave resonant
line with all the inductive stuff jammed under a large terminal capacitance.
The ultimate electrostatic field control and shield!
