I built this coil, almost exactly to the spec which they recommended. I
was running off a (250W ?) oil furnace transformer. The sparks were thin,
6" on a good day. In all, it was a huge disappointment.

In fact my failure with this machine caused me to join the TCBA - Harry
Goldman wrote a fairly comprehensive diatribe for me on this design!
Compare the aspect ratio with the RQ figures for example - not good.

If you do go ahead and build it, good luck. Let me know how it turns out.
