Steve, According to Westinghouse data I have, the 676 is a mercury
vapor thyratron fil V.5.0-at-10a, Ia max=40a, Iave=6.4a, anode
volts=2500. The warning would be more apt to go with a 673(Hg rect)
or a 678(Hg thyratron) both have anode ratings of 15 kV.
