It will work if you prepare it first. Sand both inside and outside to
remove any surface impurities. Then wipe out with a mixture of acetone and
MEK. This will remove any final impurities. Heat to 120 degrees with heat
lamps for 1-2 hours and then apply 3 coats GE Glyptal (avail at elec motor
shops) allowing 12 hrs to dry between each coat. Now its ready for
winding.
