Brent, All,

I hope to take some still photos of this very successful small tube
coil in operation soon and post them.

The 14 inch heavy brushfire discharge was accomplished at about 1100
watts plate input from an external plate transformer. There are
significant waveform and RF envelope shape diferences obtained when
operating a tube TC off of a microwave oven transformer with a
serious iron deficit, and a *real* plate transformer. Even so,
this 14 inch performance is impressive to me considering that my earlier vac tube
coil system employing three 810's which is approximately twice the total tube
plate dissipation, and which achieved 18 inch brushfire, is a MUCH
larger system. This new baby is MUCH MORE compact, and uses much
more available, less expensive toobz. I've today been able to increase the output
streamer length to an honest measured 12 inches employing the microwave oven
transformer alone!

I've also successfully operated this unit as a magnifier and have
gotten a 14 inch brush, also at 1100 watts input. The same secondary
was used, this time as a tertiary resonator. One inch arc could be
drawn to a grounded wand at the bottom end, with 14 inchers coming
off the top of this 14 inch long, 4.25 inch diameter coil wound with
#26 AWG enamelled copper wire. I will post pictures of the magnifier setup
as well.

I will soon be offering this model which I have named "Brushfire"(Trademark),
for sale as a new addition of my custom built line of prototype proven
deisign Tesla coils available by custom order. Through this announcement and
one firmer one to follow, Tesla list members will get first kick at the
cat on this limited edition collector's coil.

Price and availability will be posted when the design is finalized. I will not be
distributing construction plans for this design, ...sorry. I am a struggling artist
and returns on my R&D efforts on projects like this are how I occasionally
manage to pay my bills.

Inquiries or a place in the order reservation queue by private e-mail are welcomed.
