Well I ran my coil again tonight and I got at least 8 inch sparks after
tapping in at the 13th turn on the primary! Unfortunately all of the
sparks came from the wire leading up to the discharge terminal and not
from the terminal itself??? Tomorrow I'll try a smaller terminal and see
what effect that has. Also I paid a vist to the local sign shop in town
and talked the guy into letting me have some old transformers he had in
the basement. They were four 15kv -at- 30ma neons that gone bad. I'm going
to use the information contained in the archives to try and restore
them. If I succeed I'll have at least 4Kw of power to play with!
