Most medium size coils work good with the sec starting approx 3/4 inch above
the horizontal plane of the primary coil with the pri to coilform distance
also 3/4 inch. This works good with coils 6-12 inch dia. Larger coils
need more separation and the best way is to set up the experiment and
actually measure your coeff. coupling and then set around 0.18. (see
archives section).
