Probably the best method is to get a small piece of tubing with an OD the same
as the ID of the tube you are to splice and slip it into the ends of the two
tubes with the ends butt together. Then silver solder. Of course regular
electronic grade solder will work, as well as the kind of solder plumbers use.
Silver solder, or at least "silver bearing" solder will hold up to the RF
currents better than regular solder.
You could use a coupling meant to connect two pieces of tubing together and
available from hardware or plumbing supplies, but that leaves a bump. Another
method would be to swedge one tube and slide the other into the enlarged end.
This will also leave a bump.
