I got a notice that a 240V ( 0-280) 28 amp variac is going to go on ebay
soon
If any of you are interested  asking price is 250$ ( not my doings) 

Its a Powerstat 1256D unit  barely used   ( i have 2 of them from this
guy, both in excellent condition)
