I use Tough Hide GTO wire. This is the same stuff used on neon lighting.
It has a 14 AWG stranded conductor and is intended for HV use. The jacket
on the wire is thick and rubbery, alot like a sparkplug wire. This is great
wire and is rated for 15 KV or less. 14 AWG is good for over 15 amps, way
more than I will be running through it. I have several hundred feet of this
stuff if you have a trouble finding a source.
Waiting on caps and rebuilding my primary.
