Hi Jeff,
I have quite a bit of info on hotrodding a NST on my page. I have some
juicy pictures as well as test data. Here is a direct link to the subpage:
http://users.better-dot-org/roverstreet/projects/ac_coil/psu.html
Note that I am running my NST dry and I highly discourage anyone from doing
this. Mine should be dead from thermal overload. I frequently get the
frame much hotter than 100C. I can't seem to kill it no matter how hard I
try :-) I purposely left it dry because my goal was to make the smallest,
lightest coil at the SoCal Teslathon 2000 that could do 5 ft arcs. I
figured it would eventually burn out and force me to start running a pig or
PT... I recently got 6 ft arcs out of it while visiting the TCBFW guys.
Seeya,
Ross-O

Hello Group,
Does anybody have a photo of the transformer "shunts" that can be removed
for
greater power?
Thanks
