Fw: More Secondary questions
Original poster: "Shaun Epp by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <scepp-at-mts-dot-net>
Hello Group:
Question:
1. is it OK to use super glue (cryoacrilate) to hold the secondary
windings in place while I wind or would it comprimise insulation?
2. I have a spark gap.... 3 3/8" x 2 1/2" sections of tungsten that
form 2 gaps. They are mounted on collars and supports. I was going to
energize it with first an OBIT, then later a 15kv at 60ma NST. Does any
have any feedback about me using only 2 gaps?
3. Since all the talk about triggered gaps, I was thinking about
energizing the middle tunsten rod with a trigger cct. Question: would
this series arrangment work?
4. This is really cool, I was at a local surplus store "Princess Auto" I
think they're Canadian only ... and I saw /tested some small ( 1.5 to 2.0 "
dia) squirrel cage fans. The motor was the same as a RC car motor and
required 10volts DC at ~1 amp. They pushed lots of air through a ~1/2 "
tube/hole, They seem purfect to quench a spark gap. I believe the spec was
44 CFM. What do ya think?
