Hi Jim,

Perhaps you have already handled glazing balls and the small ones are
heavy.  However, the big ones like below are only a few pounds.

It is thin but high strength stainless steel.  You might check for quantity
discounts.  I got mine from:

8" ones or only $20.  You could call and ask how heavy they are.
