A precise switch instead of a gap in the primary circuit and some way to
adjust the coupling coefficient can serve to control the number of RF
cycles in the secondary. The switch would be opened when the energy
returns to the primary capacitor, in the middle of the time between the
1st and the 2nd notches (there is a current zero in the primary there).
The cycles would not be equal, but the approximation could allow some
conclusions. The dynamics of the system turn difficult other solutions.
This method keeps the operation of the coil unchanged.
