RE: bottle caps!

I found that glass bottles worked well. Don't use colored tho. I had a
bottle bucket cap and I put one brown bottle in it and the performance
halved!! I took the brown bottle out and put an identical sized clear glass
bottle in and performance improved.
I can also tell you, don't make the mistake I made. I tried to melt wax into
the top of the cap to cut down corona discharge from the caps. The result
was lightining like discharges between the caps that eventually punctured
the bucket and also made the performance worse. It seems that wax contains
moisture or something that tends to conduct the electricity. It looked nice
but wasn't what I intended.

Hi all,
I was thinking of building saltwater bottle caps for my coil, because I have
run out of money so right now I can't build an MMC... :-(
My question is;
I have both glas and plastic bottles but I dont know what kind I should
chose,
and BTW does anyone know a good site on the net about bottle caps?
Thank You!
