Sorry to hear abotu your NST problems and though it may be of little con-
solation to you, I have to agree with you about the difficulty of depotting
these NASTY BEAST. And they do seem very unreliable in Tesla service,
unless you employ some agressive protection filtering circuits into your
setup (like Terry's filter). I too, have made an attempt to depot a 15/60 and
I also damaged one of the secondary coils. Like Dean, I use a pole pig for
my big coil and I have had no problems with this. And yes, it does take a
LOT of solvent to get all of the tar off, at least from my experience and I
wouldn't wish depotting an NST on my worst enemy!
