BDBR Modelling Phase I

Modeling of power circuit does indicate promise, feeding a transformer
coupled resistive load:
(1) Waveform amplitude does mimic a sinusoidal function , albeit with some
minor
distortion around '0' crossings,
(2) Small input coil (~1mH) feeding a 1uF cap (microwave oven self healing
maybe???) does provide for continuous input AC power current flow,
(3) With a 5% to 95% DC adjustment output voltage amplitude follows
DC adjustment.
Control PWM IC targeting is an ON Semiconductor (ex. Motorola) MC34060A-D.
Dedicated single channel, with dual V and I error amps, 0-92%
duty cycle control, soft start, and UV lockout for the princely price of... $
0.69 ea.
(yea, lets buy a dozen of em :^) ), and available for Allied and Newark.
May
order some samples from work.
Modeling was performed with 10-20kHz PWM carrier Fop, simulated
power flows of approaching 1 kW.
Looking good..... :^)
