Spark Gap Type help

I could use the thoughts of an experienced coiler re a better spark gap for
my coil.
Coil runs 4kW Input from 6 MOTs, 13kVrms,90nF MMC,85kHz(w,topload),Sec12"
dia x53"Hgt, 12"x44"toroid, Pri tunes -at-9turns of1/4" Cu tube, K of coil is
0.1 or so.(need to measure again)
Tried 5 section Cu Pipe Static gap blown to keep cool. This used with up to
4 MOTS. Best results with this config BUT mains I/P is high and tends to
surge at times and blow breakers.
SRSG 100bps. Smooth Mains current over large I/P from variac. Lots of
acoustic O/P from gap and fierce SRSG operation. Used up to 6MOT's. Streamer
O/P consistient BUT less than Static. (Phase control and settings optimised
BTW).
SRSG/STATIC in Series. Smoothest operation low stress on SRSG. Lowest
streamer O/P (due >> gap losses ??).
I've concluded Static has lowest lossses and probably best quenching up to
about 3kW with 4 MOT's but would not want to try current SRSG at >3kW. Has
anybody tried a STATIC of any type that they think would handle >3kW from
6MOT's and can point to some WEB refs for it.
BTW when the Tesla is going well it can do 72" but streamers still generally
seem to lack that thick high energy look most of the time.
Tnx all
