Re: Anyone Planning A SoCal Teslathon?

So what do we really need for a Teslathon...
0) Someone to organize it... Ross O. did a huge amount of work for the 2000
Teslathon..
1) A fairly large clear space to set up in, without complaining neighbors,
etc... Brian's test site (back yard) was what, about 100' on a side?
1a) Decent grounding capability... ground rods, damp dirt, etc...
2) A place to park the 50-60 or so cars
3) Lots o' power... 100 A at conventional 240/120 single phase would be
about the minimum, 200A plus would be OK, and, of course, 300A at 480V would
be the hot ticket for Bill's behemoth...
4) Owners and/or responsible people who won't wig out with all these folks
with HV... (this might actually be the biggest problem..)
What about the possibility of finding a place and renting a generator? (to
separate the power and location issues?)
