The phrase 'capture area' (IIR thats it) has a
specific meaning in antenna work. Best to
hunt up and study the real meaning than for me to
ramble from memory. That Said:
I think the 'area' goes up, mildly, for an
antenna as it goes thru its resonances.
(Essentially all resonant 'things' have more than one
resonance, commonly harmonically (f, 2f, 3f, etc....))

Someone has, better than I.
The gain is brought up to just below oscillation,
to just where oscillation is unstable, which is the
max practically obtainable. DC energy from
the local PSU is 'modulated' (if i may be allowed
that usage) by the incoming audio modulated RF.
