Ian,
Don't entrust your life to any such indicators! The only sure way is to
manually discharge caps, and leave them shorted while you work around them.
Discharge the caps via a long power resistor, such as a 100 watt 1-10 KOhm
to avoid stressing the caps and your ears when you discharge them.
