Hi Matthew,

Like beer bottles everywhere, Yank beer bottles come
in green, brown, and uncolored clear. I use Miller
Genuine Draft uncolored clear 12oz (355ml) bottles
with good results. I use a "dry" configuration with
foil on the outside of the bottles so I don't need a
bucket. I don't know the puncture voltage, but I've
used neon sign power supplies up to 15kvac without
failure. Have a look at my amazingly heavy & bulky
81nF (98 bottles) beer bottle cap sometime.
