peak output voltage of your 15kV nst will be (15000 x 1.414)= 21210 V, so
you're right, you've got one of them newfangled negative safety margin
things.  Having said that, if your mmc is made with *good* caps then it
might be ok, cos I think you can abuse them to a certain extent.

peak voltage from your 15/60 will be the same - using a 12/60 might be safer
for them, cos the peak voltage will only be 16968 V.

I currently have two strings of MMCs. One with 15 caps and one with 16 caps.
Each cap is rated at 1250v, 0.22uF. I'm using the 16-string with my 15/30
NST.
Since 1250x16 = 20 000, I'm not leaving much of a safety margine.
 
If I were to use a 15/60, would I seriously be jeapordizing the life of my
MMC?
 
What about about a 12/60?
