Hello,
A pole pig is the big heavy round transformers that
sit on your power lines... if in america- go outside
and look at a powerline, chances are you will see a
couple of these, they convert 11KV down to 120 or 240
normally and they can handle extreme currents and
overvoltages... they are rugged and can be reversed to
step UP voltage to very high voltage high amperage
when you put them in opposite configuration
