Most coilers use a variac to control the input voltage to the transformer. I
have seen a dimmer setup used, but never heard how effective it is. New caps
for a 15kV transformer can be found from plasticcapacitors-dot-com. My 15kVAc .01uF
Cap cost $180. They have many sizes though, depending on your needs. Variacs
can be found usually at a reasonable price on ebay.
