Ben: I have the same 220 unit.( it was for an X-ray machine) I could not find 
a
knob that was suitable for high voltage work so I cut a piece of Lexan into a 
circle
to cover the entire transformer, and for the knob I used a rubber wheel that 
had
a "Allan" wrench thread that fit on the . 5 inch shaft. Hope this helps
