FANTC Update to v1.1
Original poster: "Barton B. Anderson by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <tesla123-at-pacbell-dot-net>
Hi All,
Scott Hanson alerted me to an error he received running a coil in FANTC.
The error he received was "Bailout - faulty ring radius:0".
The "Bailout" function is used when a run cannot resolve for any reason.
The error usually indicates that an input error has occurred and FANTC
didn't catch it. FANTC validates most configurations to ensure GEOTC
receives good data. However, if FANTC doesn't catch it, then a Bailout
window will pop open and give an error similar to what Scott received.
Should you run across this type of error, please tell me about so I can
investigate and write validation to prevent it. Because of the type of
program FANTC is and because it's new, I do expect we will see a few of
these errors until all possible configurations present themselves
Scotts error was due to the toroid minor diameter at 3" butting up against
the major diameter at 6". FANTC would have caught the minor diameter if it
was any larger, but it missed the 0 value (6" - (2*minor) = 0). I've
updated the FANTC to catch this in the future. I also noticed the tab
indexing broke somewhere between version x.7c and the release of version
1.0. This was also fixed.
These two changes brought FANTC to version 1.1 (it's uploaded and ready to go).

Thanks Scott for bringing this to my attention.
FANTC can also be run on your pc without having to go online. Simply create
a new folder somewhere, download fantc.zip, and extract it inside the new
folder. Then simply run the file named fantc.html. Here's a link to the zip
file.
