Hi Weazle,

Thank you for sharing your data. I played with fantc with your input data.
I'll pop in some outputs I ran that I didn't see logged down for fantc as
well as some that were logged (variations will be due to either detail
settings during analysis and/or how we input the system). Note, for all C
and Resonance analysis, I used the full primary (all 12 turns - these extra
turns beyond the tap affect C), and of course the strike ring is installed
as a disc (ground connection - I modeled a 1/4" ring as 18.875 ID, 19.125
OD, 34 H).

Pri Ldc: 11.08uH
Sec Ldc: 11.36mH
Mu Ind: 49.37uH (some discrepancy between programs - needs a measurement
at tap position).
Coupling: 0.139
Sec Ces (bare): 8.1pF (by itself = no walls, no ceiling, no ground-plane,
no primary, no toploads - just the secondary).
Sec Ces (bare): 8.6pF (*ground-plane only - nothing else).
Sec Cdc (dc): 15.8pF (*ground-plane only - what you should measure with a
dc meter).
* Note, there is always a ground plane.

Sec Ces (Loaded): 34.53pF
Topload (Ces in-situ): 20.12pF (C of toploads in position with the rest of
the system in position).
Fres: 259.59kHz (260.25kHz if primary is changed to tap position).

BTW, running E-Tesla6 (grid 200), I got 24.2pF (sys C, not topload C).
(possibly you input major diameters instead of center-center in ET6? Can't
figure out what else would drive ET6 that high).

I am very curious about something:
Could you measure all 4 wall distances from the center of the coil? this
particular area has been of concern to me and an area I need to iron out.

Also, have you made recent measurements with the system in it's current
position? Would you be up to making a few simple measurements? (I bet you
knew I would ask that).

Take care,
Bart
