Folks should be aware that the standard skin depth formula (given above) is
ONLY good for an infinite flat plate.  For smallish round conductors where d
is a significant fraction of wire diameter, there are significant errors
(factor of 2 or more)...  use it for a qualitative guide, and for an
understanding of how it varies as a function of frequency, permeability and
conductivity....
