Subject: is a NST with 6A output enough to run a small coil?

>>>>>>>>>Well, first 6A of high voltage output is probably enough to produce
30-50 foot arcs. But of course, thats just
a misprint. You probably mean 6mA ???? What is the voltage? You could
probably design a coil that puts out at least 10cm of output with a 6kV,6mA
coil or higher i would think. Where is that Freau formula when you need it
. . .

well the question is in the Subject already. I emailed before about our
high school project, and I would like to know if this NST would be strong
enough for a coil producing a >10 cm visible spark. I have already emailed
the owner about the maximum voltage and frequency.
