big secondaries

Looking at practical spacewound secondaries that are big... looking for
Fres around 100 kHz
What about winding an 18" form 60" long (3.33:1 aspect) with AWG12 THHN
wire... about 2300 ft, 28 mH Looks like you can get 8.3 turns/inch (if you
go to 8tpi, you get 25.8 mH, and fres goes up to 110 kHz) (assuming 52 pF
topload)
A 12.5 inch diameter form, 5 feet long (4.8:1) would be 159 kHz (12.9 mH)
at 8tpi
Has anyone ever wound with standard house wire?
