I agree, but MOTs are not neccessarily best for the
beginner. Safety is one reason. The second is that
going to a MOT based power supply usually requires a
redesign of your spark gap...to a high speed ARSG,
SRSG or air blast gap. Folks can't simply use their
RQ/TCBOR gaps that worked so well with NSTs all those
years. Just my 2 cents.
