all my coils are "small", 3.5" diam x 11" long windings. I can get
6kv-20ma -> 8 to 10"
7.5kv-30ma -> 12 to 14"
9kv-30ma -> 16 to 18"
with the right primary cap for the nst (about 1-1/2 to 2 times resonant cap
value).
