The major problem with teflon is the electrodes do not stay in place, they
slide and come loose. If you silver solder a stop nut on the end of your
tungsten electrodes you can prevent this problem. The motor shaft also tends
to work loose. If you turm a shaft mounting and press a collar or band
around the teflon to hold a set screw you can prevent this also.
