I have uploaded a pic of some artwork I did in my earlier days of high
voltage work.

I drew a rough sketch of a tree on cardboard with a graphite pencil, then I
wet it and placed it on a grounded sheet of aluminum. I wet it so that it
wouldn't catch fire, not to make it more conductive. I then 'drew' along the
pencil lines with a nail at the end of a plastic wand that was connected to
one end of an obit. If I kept the wand in one place for a while, I would get
a branching out of burn marks that didn't necessarily follow the pencil
lines.
