Here Here!! I second Dr. R's comments on all of this.
Terry Fritz, Reinhard Buckner, Scott Hansen, and others worked hard on the
testing and development of using a bank of caps in this fashion for TC
service. The Geek Group did ALL of us a great service when they worked hard
with Cornell Dublier to provide these caps at a very reasonable price even
when these caps were not in high demand. There is no doubt that cost is
important, but there are other considerations already expanded upon which
should be considered by List members. If we start buying from Richardson or
other distributors, it is possible someday The Geek Group will see no need
to sell caps to List members. At that point, we are at the total mercy of
these distributors and their markups.
For the long term availability of MMC's for the average Joe, choose wisely.
