Re: Cu Spheres,PSSTC Components & Anti-Oxid.

To All:
Last chance to holler for a few Copper spheres (2", 10, 12, or 14") here's
the link to check out the prices and metal specifications, about 1/2 the
'normal' price:
http://www.tesla-coil-dot-com/BulkSphereBuy.htm
The prices are for 10 pcs of each size and I just confirmed that they'll
honor that price for any quantity based upon the sum total of the
prospective order (10 and 12" orders were 2 and 4 pcs, respectively).
I'm testing a new metal protectant (anti-oxidant) suitable for copper,
brass and aluminum. I'm thinking of using this to treat cu
strapping/tubing in the tank circuit, primary coils and topload and I still
need a few other participants, email me if you have a coil or two up and
running and will report back on its effectiveness (or lack of it).
I've got serious parts (most all of the silicon) accumulated for a PSSTC
assault, anyone have components to trade?????
I just blew 1 maybe 2 Franceformers (15kV, 60mA) and have given up on the
bypass caps and am outfitting each with its own Terry Filter (yeah, yeah,
I'm a dummy). The design I have calls for 12 0.0033uF, 1600v ECW-H series
Panasonic caps. I have ECW-H12H222P1, the same pulse discharge,
metallized, polypropylene, self-healing caps but these are 0.0022uF at
2000Vdc. 8 of these in series gives you the exact same capacitance, i.e.,
0.000275uF but at 16,000Vdc, a bit lower than the 22,500Vdc of the other
but it doesn't matter, just keep the input voltage to 15kV or less.
Price? Basically not much, say, 4 for a dollar but cover the mailing cost
and they don't weigh much. I'm still trying to find a nice source for the
1 kohm, 100W power resistors, they're around 7 or 8 dollars each thru
normal distribution, I'm trying to find these in an 'excess situation' so I
can scoop up a bunch for 0.50 or 1.00 each. We'll see. Got Pulse Width
Modulators?
Cheers,
