Re: 24 x 6 inch toroid

Well, I could use it since I never got mine from the bulk buy last fall . . .
I guess this is a good time to share my experiences with this, just to let
everyone know.
I ordered one of the smaller toroids from Dr. Resonance last fall during
the bulk buy and never received it. After ordering it, and sending D.C Cox
the various payments (initial payment, correction for misstated amount,
shipping), I never recieved word that the toroid had shipped or the toroid
itself. After one month of waiting after sending the payment, I emailed
D.C. and informed him that I was moving and gave him the new address at the
same time if the toroid hadn't been shipped. D.C. told me that he was in
Arizona and didn't have the tracking number as it was in Wisconsin. He
said he would send me the information once he was back in Wisconsin as no
one was there that could get the information.
I waited several months for D.C. to get back to Wisconsin, and emailed him
once again, and he told me he had thrown away the shipping records and that
it wouldn't have helped anyway, since Fed Ex is a "rapid shipment" company
and doesn't retain records for more than 30 days. Basically my gripe is
this: I was promised a product, I sent the payment in advance, and the
product never arrived, and subsequent attempts to find out what happened or
what could be done were met with indifference towards what had happened. I
subsequently checked with the new residents of my old house and there was
no package delivered for me there.
So, I don't intend to start a flame war here (though that may well happen),
but I want my experience to be known so people can "be ware" of the
attitude I received toward the problem. I just hope to make people aware
of this, not to make people angry at each other. I've tried talking to
D.C. and gotten nowhere. I don't really want to get involved in a lawsuit,
as I'm sure that would create some unhappy people as the last "big"
lawsuit. I'd rather just let people know what happened and let them make
their own choices.
Any personal flames comments, please email me off-list at sstaylor-at-uiuc.edu
Thank you,
Sean Taylor
