And PLEASE, use the right plug configuration for that wiring configuration
(single phase, 125/250, 3 pole, 4 wire)

There's a straight blade configuration (with 4 prongs) for 30A -NEMA 14-30P,
Hubbell HBL9431C, for example
And there's a twist lock configuration L14-30P

If you're not using the neutral (240V only) there are plugs for that
configuration as well...NEMA 6-30P for instance, or
L6-30P for locking
