Ken,

My 15 kVA pole pig powered Green Monster coil
uses a 0.1 uFd primary capacitor. I am firing asynch
at 300 to 350 bps. Originally, I had 2 of the 0.1 uFd
caps and tried both of them in parallel for 0.2 uFd,
but it seemed that the transformer couldn't quite ful-
ly charge that much capacitance that fast.
