Hi, you said the stacked primary provided 165 UH. what was the single layer
coil you replaced have for inductance?  I wunder if the grey potting
compound could be used to sparate the two layers and still allow the outer
turns to be tuned? or maybe tune from the inside and pot the outside? just
dreaming but maybe being potted they could be closer together? maybe the
grey potting compound is out of this world priced? just dreaming ideas here.
