Ed,

Only one image of the (outside) of this gap is at my web site
under "miscellaneous components".  I gave a very detailed
paper at the 1991 Extraordinary Science Symposium at
Colorado Springs about spark gap design and evolution over
the last 100 years.  You might ask Steve Elswick if he has any
copies from that time frame.
