Original poster: "Gerry Reynolds" <gerryreynolds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>I measure 185 ohms (bushing to bushing) on my 5KVA PIG. It really requires a 4 terminal ohm meter to measure the primary resistance (or a DV current source thru the primary and a DVM to measure the millivolts drop this current results in). If I remember correctly, the 5KVA PIG had a 0.17 ohm resistance.

Original poster: Yurtle Turtle <yurtle_t@xxxxxxxxx> FWIW, I got 42.4 ohms on the HV side and .1 ohms on the LV side. Mine's a 240/14.4 kV 25 kVA pig with aluminum windings. Adam
