RE: NST modification
Original poster: "Mccauley, Daniel H" <daniel.h.mccauley@xxxxxxxx>
This modification does not change the output voltage of the NST in any
way. It simply shifts the output voltage from +/- 7.5kV (i.e. 15kv NST)
to +15kV/gnd.
For conventional tesla coils, you don't need to do this. However, it
appears this person is using this transformer for a DC coil where you
would want to have the output single-ended with respect to ground.
For a conventional spark gap coil, simply wiring the two NSTs in
parallel and do nothing else.

I found this website that tells how to modify a NST to increase the
voltage.

If I were to do this with my NST's would it give me better
performance? I plan on using 2 15Kv 30ma NST's in parallel for my
coil, could I use this modification on both transformers? All input
is appreciated.
