Some time ago, I did a simple experiment. Take two secondaries, connect their base wires together, using two LEDs in antiparallel. With only one primary coupled to one secondary, feed with a signal generator. There is no ground connection.
You will find resonance when the 2 LEDs turn on (although dimly).
Now take an alligator clip and connect ground to either secondary bases. LEDs will turn off. I never found the new resonance frequency. Maybe too low power signal or frequency span of generator was not wide enough.
It seems to confirm that Earth forces a voltage node on the bottom end of resonator.
I think you cannot treat the two secondaries with center tap to ground, as a common bipolar floating secondary (not earth connected, usually placed horizontally).
I think each secondary should be resonating individually to the primary tank frequency.
If we could resonate both secondaries as a unique L, where each topload is a plate of the C capacitor, then it would be a common LC tank, with only one voltage node, despite we have two ground connections, separated by an arbitrary distance. Experimentation shows this is impossible.

Good question. The answer will help me as well, and with that said,
doesn't each secondary operate independently in resonance, (and not used
as a sum), as compared to the primary (both primary coils are in essence
acting as a large single primary) resonance?

As adding a toroid lowers Fres, there you have your answer.
