The oscilloscope you should get would be determined by what you are
trying to do
with it. Usually a 20-25MHz scope would be fine. I don't have any high quality
freq gens so I don't really know all the functions on them. To get the P-P V I
just connect the output to a scope. For the freq there should be a display or
some indication of what freq is being put out. I f you want to measure freq
better than a scope I would suggest a frequency counter. It doesn't have to be
that expensive.
