they are a silly idea, although tesla himself beleved in them as a healing  
device (mind you he also beleved that X-Rays were healing for awhile there  
too) i have a vintage violet ray.. and it CAN be used to cure one thing  
for sure... i use its arc to burn off some warts.. worked like a charm :P
