I can't see why it should 'vibrate itself into oblivion' if it hasn't 
already
been exhibiting excessive operational vibration. If a transformer is well
fastened together, then it should not experience significant vibration 
during
operation as long as it isn't pushed well beyond its VA/kVA rating into
heavy core saturation.
