If you connect the two secondaries in series (with the primaries properly phased), it seems like the midpoint connection (even if left floating) will stay around ground potential due to symetry if the two PT's are the same. What ever would cause one PT to raise the potential of that midpoint, would cause the other PT to lower that potential and the two affects would cancel.

50kV would pack quite a whollup!! If they are identical, and you cannot measure any continuity between the primary and secondary windings, it would seem that you could easily connect the primaries in reverse phase, and connect the secondaries for +/- 25kV. I don't even know why you'd need to ground the midpoint, but I would see why you couldn't
