The 555 in itself is limited to about a 55% duty cycle and
above. There's a nice schematic using a LM393 attached to the
capacitor charging loop in a 555 bistable circuit to generate a duty
cycle variable across nearly 0% - 100% on RMCybernetics. The link is

This is kinda off topic but, can someone please help me with this...I
am trying to get a 555 timer rectangle pulse (Basic Astable) to stay
low longer then it is high...Is this possible? I have achieved near
equal (square) but never longer low then it is high?? Thanks for any help.
